Datacenter equipment rarely fails all at once. It becomes slower, more expensive and harder to support over time. These are the signs we look for during an assessment.

1. Hardware is out of warranty or support

When manufacturers end support, spare parts and firmware updates become hard to find. Third-party maintenance such as Evernex can extend useful life, but it should be part of a plan rather than a last resort.

2. Power and cooling costs keep rising

Older servers and storage use far more power for the same work. If your energy bill grows while workloads stay flat, consolidation can pay for itself.

3. You have no tested failover

A disaster-recovery plan that has never been tested is only a document. If you cannot say how long recovery would take, it is time to review.

4. Capacity is running out

Racks at full power budget, storage above 80% and regular performance complaints all point to an environment that cannot absorb growth.

5. Security patching is falling behind

Systems that cannot run current operating systems or firmware become the weakest point in your security.
